Kids 4 and 6 killed in front of parents as truck slams into mini golf course

A young brother and sister died in front of their parents when a pickup truck drove onto a mini golf course and ploughed into them.

Addie, 6, and Baylor Kirchgessner, 4, were on holiday with their mum Lauren and dad Matt when they were killed in the horror smash.

The family were playing mini golf when the Chevrolet Silverado veered off a road and onto the course in Panama City Beach, Florida, on Friday afternoon.

Baylor died at the scene at the Coconut Creek Family Fun Park, while Addie was pronounced dead in hospital.

Their parents, from Louisville, Kentucky, were not injured in the incident which is now being investigated by a traffic homicide unit, the local police force said.

Police said the driver, Scott Donaldson, of Panama City Beach, veered off the road and ended up on the course, striking the two siblings just after 3pm.

Donaldson remained at the scene following the double fatal collision, said police.

“Energetic, fun loving, and huge personalities, these tiny people touched the lives of so many.

“In an effort to support their parents, Matt and Lauren, we have set up a GoFundMe page.

“The funds will help with travel expenses, funeral expenses, medical expenses, and whatever else may pop up during this terrible time.

“Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness during our darkest moments.”

Panama City Beach police said officers from the traffic homicide unit are leading the investigation.

Coconut Creek Family Fun Park was closed on Saturday following the incident.

It shared a verse from the Bible as it announced the closure
