VALENCIA PRESIDENT XIMO PUIG DUE TO ANNOUNCE ALL HOSPITALITY VENUES AND HOTELS TO CLOSE BY MIDNIGHT 17th DECEMBER 2021.
The Valencia president Ximo Puig has sent shockwaves through the Valencian Region in reaction to the increasing rise in infections and hospital admissions relating to the new Omicron crises.
The president is due to make a statement at 5 pm today with his intentions to close down all bars, clubs, restaurants and hotels within the Valencia region this Friday, 17th December, in a measure designed further to prevent the spread of the new Covid variant Omicron.
As seen over the last week, hospital admissions have increased by an average of 38% per day, and this is the most significant increase seen since the first wave of Covid 19 was detected back in 2020.
Ximo’s press release later today is sure to send shockwaves throughout the region, especially at a time when most businesses are already struggling with trade and were hoping for a Christmas boost in takings.
