Christmas Cancellations For Spain's Costa del Sol & Costa Blanca Sky Rocket

Cancellations to Spain’s Costa del Sol & Costa Blanca have skyrocketed as UK public decide to stay at home after the latest Covid information.

Spain’s Costa del Sol & Costa Blanca are again under siege from holiday cancellations as British tourists pull out of travel arrangements.

Travellers are cancelling in mass their Christmas trips to Spain’s holiday resorts, feeling it is too unsafe and too much hassle to travel.

Once again, the blame is Covid, which has already battered the tourism industry in Spain for nigh on two years now.

Travel agent, Neil Mitchell, based in Bristol, told Global247news: “Over the weekend, cancellations to Spain have skyrocketed.

“It’s been cancellation after cancellation; the clients now have the fear factor again when it comes to Covid.

” I only see it getting worse this week, I have spoken to employee’s of both EasyJet and Jet2, and they are stating the same.” says the travel agent.

Hoteliers in Spain are already seeing the cancellations filter through.

“Just when we thought we were getting out of the past mess, the cancellations are coming back through already, I blame the UK media; if they didn’t hype it all up, then this would not be happening:” says guesthouse owner James Beavis based just north of Marbella.

Meanwhile, Trina Bevan on Spain’s Costa Blanca, understands the situation, although disappointed as she said: “I’ve always said this will come around again, yes, the cancellations are again, higher than the bookings, it’s going to be a very bleak Christmas.”
