Two people have been killed and up to 50 injured after two trains smashed into each other in the Czech Republic.

Police said the crash occurred shortly after 8 am in the town of Milavce.

An international high-speed train connecting the Czech city of Plzen with Munich in Germany and a local passenger train were involved in the collision.

Emergency services are currently at the scene
