Tributes have been pouring in for Logan Williamson after being found dead in Bridgend river.
Thousands of tributes are pouring in for 5-year-old Logan Williamson as South Wales Police continue investigating his death.
The Welsh police force currently has 3 persons in custody on suspicion of murder, two adults and a teenager.
Hearts have been broken in the Welsh town of Bridgend as the news broke yesterday of the young boy’s disappearance and the fact three locals have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Logan Williamson was reported missing at around 5.45 am on Saturday from his home in Bridgend, South Wales. Later in the Ogmore River near Pandy Park, his body was found shortly after neighbours say they heard his mum frantically screaming for him.
Daniel Hughes, a resident of Bridgend, told Global247news how the community are still in shock.
The father of three said: “The whole town is devastated whilst reeling in shock; you just don’t expect this to happen in your own town.
“I’ve been looking at my own 3 today and trying to imagine the pain the parents must be in right now; it’s heartbreaking.
“You can’t get away from it today; tributes, quite rightly are everywhere you look; it’s so so sad,” he said.
A 39-year-old man, 30-year-old woman and a 13 year old boy remain in custody for questioning as police delve into trying to ascertain how and why the toddler died.
Neighbours claim the boy’s mum was heard frantically screaming for her son shortly before he was found dead in the river.
She shouted, “the back door was open” at around 5.30 am on Saturday, waking up people living nearby, according to locals.
One neighbour said: “I could hear the mum screaming for her son. She was shouting ‘the back door was open’ and calling for him.
