Dorset Police Applaud Citizens After Sex Attack Suspect Captured

Detectives investigating a report of sexual assault on a woman in Bournemouth have arrested a man after a public appeal.

It was reported that at around 2.25 am on Wednesday 7 July 2021, the victim – a young woman – was approached by a man as she walked along Charminster Road in the seaside town of Bournemouth.
The man then walked with the victim along Heron Court Road, and it was reported that he made several attempts to kiss the woman before sexually assaulting her at an address in Markham Road.
Following enquiries, led by Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team, a 23-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape and is assisting detectives with their enquiries.
The Dorset police appealed to the public for information and possible eyewitnesses, and shortly after, with the public’s assistance, an arrest was made.
The Dorset police would like to thank everyone who shared their appeals.
A man has been fined more than £350 for refusing to clean up after his dogs in #Rhondda Cynon Taf. The man, from #Pontypridd, had taken his three dogs for a walk on a restricted area at Taff Vale Park, #Treforest, where one of the dogs was witnessed fouling and the man failed to pick it up. He refused to engage with the council’s enforcement officers, and the matter was referred to Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court, where he was found guilty in his absence and ordered to pay a total of £374.
