The police have arrested Savill’s Estate Agent Andrew Bone in regards to racist tweets.
Greater Manchester Police have arrested the Savills estate agent who allegedly posted a racist tweet about black England football stars after the Three Lions lost the European Championship to Italy.
Andrew Bone, 37, turned himself in at Cheadle Heath police station this morning and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of an offence under Section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act.
Bone is claiming that his Twitter account was hacked after his employers suspended him.
The tweet associated with his account read, ‘N*****s ruined it for us.’
Shortly after this morning arrest, officers were seen entering the estate agents home, taking away evidence bags, laptops, and other electronic devices.
In a statement, GMP said a suspect remains in custody for questioning. Detective Inspector Matt Gregory of the force’s Trafford Division said: ‘The actions of a small number of people overshadowed what was a hugely unifying event for our country on Sunday evening.
‘We are firm in our commitment; any racist abuse, whether online or off, is not acceptable.
‘We now have one man in custody, and our investigation continues. If you think you have information on this post, we’d like to hear from you on 0161 856 4973, quoting incident number 109 of 12/7/2021.
Although across the country, genuine football fans feel there is something murky going on and that the mainstream media are provoking the situation.
Steven Thomas, himself a Cardiff City supporter, feels accounts are being hacked and used for other’s agendas.
He told Global247news this afternoon, before appearing on a YouTube show to debate the subject,
“I think people are being framed and that hackers are at large, the hackers having political motives, the mainstream media are a virus themselves.
“Let’s face the facts here you have this estate agent clearly promoting on social media his occupation and his real name; he clearly is a professional type of person, would he really be that stupid to post what he did?
“I would be shocked and come on Twitter have said they have removed several thousands of tweets – are these football fans? – I say no chance!
“Us real football fans haven’t heard racist remarks at games for years; if these Tweets are real, they are not from Football fans who go to games.
“Boris Johnson has already called it wrong; he’s threatened everyone today for unsavoury tweets they will get a football banning order, these tweeters don’t go to football, it just shows how distanced politicians are from the real world”, he finished.
