A council van driver had a lucky escape as poor council road signs and hedge trimming saw him wedged under a Vale Of Glamorgan Bridge today.

A startled road driver in Peterson- Super – Ely couldn’t believe her eyes today when a council van came screaming around a blind corner and got wedged under the village bridge.

Thankfully, after the hair raising incident, more accustomed to American movies than village life in the quaint Welsh Village, the council driver had no physical injuries apart from shock.

Now it’s down to the Vale Of Glamorgan council to at last sort out the signage and get their hedge trimmer out.

A man has been fined more than £350 for refusing to clean up after his dogs in #Rhondda Cynon Taf. The man, from #Pontypridd, had taken his three dogs for a walk on a restricted area at Taff Vale Park, #Treforest, where one of the dogs was witnessed fouling and the man failed to pick it up. He refused to engage with the council’s enforcement officers, and the matter was referred to Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court, where he was found guilty in his absence and ordered to pay a total of £374.
