South Wales Police has launched a murder investigation following the death of a man on June 25, 2021.
Carl Chinnock, 50, had been admitted to the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend, two days before he passed away, having been found with a serious head injury in Salt Lake Car Park, Porthcawl, just before midnight on Wednesday, June 23.
A Home Office Post Mortem has been carried out, indicating that Carl has been subject to an assault.
A 27-year-old local man has been arrested this evening on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
