The Prime Minister of Spain pardons Catalan separatist leaders

Pedro Sanchez, the current prime minister for Spain has given a pardon to the nine jailed Catalan separatist leaders.

They were all previously jailed in a failed independence bid in 2017 as they fought for independence for their region.
