Six cyclists are said to be in a critical condition after being ploughed into by a truck.

ARIZONA: Six cyclists in critical condition after being hit by truck during race. The shocking incident happened in Arizona during a cycle race. Police chased down the driver and shot him.

It took place in the town of Show Low, northeast of Phoenix,at 7.25am local time. Police issued a statement saying that four of the cyclists were in a critical condition while two other were “critical but stable”.

The suspect, who was driving the truck, was shot by police and is in a critical but stable condition in hospital. Police added that there were also three walk-in victims. No one knows why the truck hit the cyclists and police are appealing for information on the incident.
