A man has shot his wife dead for refusing to have sex with him.

INDIA: Man shoots wife dead for refusing to have sex. According to police reports he also threw his three children into a canal. The incident happened in the eastern India state of Bihar.

Police reports stated that the man allegedly shot his wife dead on Wednesday in the village of Basedi, near the town of Muzaffarnagar after she “refused to be physically intimate with him” for more than two weeks.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Desrajh Singh, from the Purkazi police, said “The children’s bodies have not been recovered from the canal yet.” Pappu Kumar, 37, was hiding in a forest when police caught up with him after murdering his wife, who was 36 and his children aged 5, 3 and 15 months.

A police officer was quoted by a local newspaper as saying “After killing the wife, the accused was worried what would happen to his children, so he killed them too.”
