Boris Johnson says he is ‘proud’ to be serving as the Queen’s Prime Minister.
Johnson ‘proud’ to be serving the Queen on her 95th birthday. Today marks the 95th birthday of the monarch. Reports say she will be spending the day “privately” after the death of her husband.
Family members have rallied round to support the Queen in her time of mourning.
They will also be spending time with her today at Windsor Castle.
Normally the monarch would issue a photograph of herself on her birthday however, as today falls in the two-week period of mourning, this will not be the case this year.
Also, due to pandemic restrictions, there will be no Trooping of the Colour as in previous years.
The Prime Minister took to Twitter to say “I would like to send my warm wishes to Her Majesty The Queen on her 95th birthday.
I have always had the highest admiration for Her Majesty and her service to this country and the Commonwealth.
I am proud to serve as her Prime Minister.”
