The move is said to be because Windsor holds such a special place in the Queen’s heart.
It is where Prince Philip was buried on Saturday and where the Royal couple spent every Easter together.
They also chose the residence to self-isolate at during the coronavirus lockdown. Prince Philip had previously been based at Sandringham however he moved to Windsor to be by his wife’s side.
