Violent thug jailed and banned from every pub in Neath and Port Talbot following a vicious assault
Julio Waters has a long history of violence in pubs and bars in Neath, including kicking a man unconscious in the town’s workingmen’s club.
Judge Huw Rees described Waters as a “thug” and said he did not believe for one moment that he had feared for his life when he launched his latest attack on a Mr John.
Giving the defendant a one-third DISCOUNT for his guilty the judge sentenced him to 18 months in prison.
Waters will serve up to half that period in custody before being released on licence under the UK government’s early release scheme to serve the remainder in the community.
Judge Rees also made Waters the subject of a licensed premises exclusion order which bans him from all bars, pubs and clubs in the Neath Port Talbot Council area.
