A police investigation has been launched after a car ploughed into the side of a building during an early morning smash
Emergency services were called to the scene on Corstorphine High Street in Edinburgh at around 1.40 am in the early hours of today.
The road has been closed to allow for engineers to access the stability of the structure.
Roddy Mclean who owns a furniture store in Edingburgh said ” It was a horrendous bang as it ploughed into the wall at speed, the emergency services were quickly on the scene though as I passed.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.40 am on Wednesday, 7 April, officers were called to Corstorphine High Street, Edinburgh, following a report of a car crashing into a building.”
