A teenage boy has died after getting into difficulty swimming at a waterfall near Bradford aged just 14
14 year old dies in Yorkshire waterfall as temperatures rose. The schoolboy was spotted struggling in a pool below Goit Stock Waterfall in Cullingworth, West Yorkshire.
The cascade and pool is popular with swimmers.
It is thought the teenager was taking a swim as temperatures reached 21C in the first week of the Easter school holidays in Yorkshire.
Earlier, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called just after 6 pm yesterday evening to reports of a concern for safety at Goit Stock waterfall off Hallas Lane, Cullingworth.
Subsequently it was discovered a 14-year-old male had entered the water.
Shortly afterwards, Emergency services attended, including fire service, ambulance and underwater rescue teams and recovered a body from the water.
Meanwhile, there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
