BREAKING: '10pm curfew on pubs across England' to be announced by Boris Johnson

Emergency services are on the scene of a suspected gas explosion in Walsall.

People are being warned to ‘avoid the area’ around Darlaston Road, with police, ambulances and the fire service all in attendance.

Firefighters from Walsall, Willenhall and Bilston are working with the gas board to make the area safe.

There are no immediate reports of any injuries.

West Midlands Fire Service tweeted: “Crews from Walsall, Willenhall and Bilston are currently in attendance to reports of a Gas explosion on Darlaston Road, Walsall, working together with Ambulance, Police and Gas board. Avoid the area if possible.”

Furniture manufacturer Andrew Clarke said: ” There was this massive and I mean massive bang go off, It sounded like a bomb”

“Sirens then started blaring from everywhere”
