A teenager who committed sexual assaults on women across Manchester and Cheshire has been charged.
Teenager charged with sex attacks on women in Manchester and Cheshire: The women were attacked on footpaths. Joshua Etchells has been charged on 12 counts of sexual assault. Greater Manchester police said he touched women in a sexual manner between the 1st and 7th March. It is reported a male rode up behind women on a pushbike and touched them inappropriately.
The incidents occurred across Sale, Altrincham, Timperley, Stretford, Old Trafford and Lymm. Police arrested Etchells after a number of women made complaints of sexual assault on footpaths. The attacks mainly took place on river and canal towpaths.
Etchells will appear on Monday at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court. Greater Manchester police said he is currently in custody. Greater Manchester Police worked with Cheshire Police to investigate the attacks and said while nobody was injured, the victims had been left distressed by the incidents.
