Coastguards said a couple and child had to be rescued after breaching COVID rules.
Family rescued after breaching coronavirus rules to camp on cliff edge: The family had set up camp in a tent on a dangerous cliff edge. On Saturday Staithes and Whitby Coastguard were called out. After reports of the tent being on top of a cliff. The incident occurred on the North York Moors. Rescuers discovered the family inside the tent and had to give them. “safety advice due to the dangerous location of their tent”. Police also attended the scene due to the breach of lockdown rules.
