A British man has been given a two week jail sentence.

British man jailed for breaching Singapore restrictions to visit fiancee: He breached coronavirus restrictions to leave his quarantine hotel to visit his fiancee. He also recieved a fine of 1,000 Singapore dollars ($753). Nigel Skea, 52, was staying at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore hotel.

He left his room without a face mask on three separate occasions. He sneaked out to see his then fiancee Agatha Maghesh Eyamalai in a separate room. She is now his wife. He pleaded guilty to breaking his quarantine order in court on Monday.

His wife received one week in jail after pleading guilty to aiding him. Skea is the first Briton to be jailed in Singapore for breaking coronavirus rules. A handful of others have had their work passes revoked and paid fines.
