We are not satisfied. We expected more ”. This is the conclusion of the Castellón Hospitality Association (Ashocas) after the meeting they have held with technicians from the Department of Universal Health and Public Health, and with the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer.
After a total month of closing of bars and restaurants, the hostelry business will be able to reopen but only the terraces, at tables of six and until 8 pm.
However, all these measures must first be published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana in order to be applied. It will be then that hospitality establishments could reopen their businesses.
In fact, the Consell plans to extend the business hours of non-essential establishments that until now closed at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The Generalitat Valenciana and the hoteliers will meet again within ten days to re-analyze the situation. Then, and depending on the evolution of the pandemic, the interior opening of the establishments could be considered but with a capacity of 30 to 50%.
The general director of Public Health, Ofelia Gimeno, the general deputy director of Epidemiology, Hermelinda Vanaclocha, and the regional secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, attended the work table.
