Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that he will be outlining the ‘roadmap’ to bring the country out of lockdown.
UK lockdown ‘road map’ date confirmed for 22nd February: The date has been announced as the 22nd February. Minister Victoria Atkins told BBC Breakfast that next week is ‘crucial’ as the Government will receive data on vaccination impact to the virus. The UK has seen nearly 4 million coronavirus cases so far.
Another 13,994 cases were recorded on Thursday bringing the UK total to 3,998,655. Also the hotel quarantine scheme has had problems after many travelers were left unable to book rooms on the website. As from Monday those returning from 33 ‘red-list’ countries will have to undergo quarantine in a Government designated hotel for ten days. The cost for this, estimated at £1,750, will come out of the travelers own pocket.
