22 year old stabbed to death going for orange juice for his mum

A TEEN boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death while buying orange juice for his mum.

Sven Badzak suffered multiple stab injuries after he was pounced on by a group of eight men in an unprovoked attack in Kilburn, North London, on Sunday.

A 17-year-old boy has now been arrested and is being quizzed by cops in custody.

Sven, who went to the same prep school as Princes William and Harry, had only popped out to buy his mum orange juice and a salmon bagel when he was set upon by a gang of eight youths.

The thugs gave chase and knifed Sven after he fell to the ground, while his pal sought help in a local Tesco.

He remains in a stable condition in hospital after also being stabbed.

His heartbroken mum Jasna, 49, said her son, who studied sociology at the University of Roehampton, wanted to be a lawyer and had nothing to do with gangs.

She said: “He went out to get me orange juice and a bagel on Saturday evening . . .  and that was the last time I saw my boy.

“He bumped into a young lad he knew but this gang of eight youths loitering nearby suddenly attacked them. It was motiveless. They took my wonderful son’s life for kicks.”

Police confirmed today that a post mortem examination revealed Sven died from multiple stab wounds.

Scotland Yard is appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have dashcam footage or CCTV to get in touch.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wrigley said: “A young man has lost his life in the most tragic circumstances and we are doing everything we can to find those responsible.

“We have been carrying out enquiries, and after reviewing CCTV from the area, we are confident that Sven and his friend were the victims of an unprovoked assault by a group of males.

“As the group chased the pair, Sven and his friend became separated. Sven fell to the ground and was attacked by a number of the group. His friend was also attacked but managed to seek help in a nearby shop and remains in a stable condition in hospital.

“Our thoughts are with both families of these victims and I want to assure them that we will support them throughout this investigation and that my team of highly experienced officers will be working tirelessly to locate and apprehend those responsible for this horrific attack.”
