Streets lined with mourners in Aberdare for popular Landlord & Landlady

Aberdare pays its respects to popular town pub landlord and landlady

The funeral of Gail and John Evill who managed the Conway Public house took place yesterday and many people lined the road outside their pub to pay their respects.
Sadly Gail and John died within days of each other from Covid-19 in January.
News of their deaths has prompted hundreds of tributes from pub regulars at the Conway Inn in Aberdare.
Beautiful flowers were provided by Gwillim Florists Aberdare and captured them both on their wedding day.
Local and regular at the Conway pub, Dai Evans paid tribute to the loveable pair, he told Global247news:
“It’s very sad, they passed within days of each other, they were fantastic loveable people and very much respected in our community hence the great turnout today as people lined the street, they will be sadly missed by the town”  Global247News Twitter
