Tributes pour in for Pontyclun’s Paul Teesdale
THE Welsh Ambulance Service is sad to report the loss of a second colleague to Covid-19.
Paul Teesdale, a call handler for the Trust’s Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service, based in Cwmbran, died overnight after testing positive for the virus on New Year’s Day.
Paul, who was 64 and lived in Pontyclun, joined the ambulance service in June 2012 after a long and distinguished career with South Wales Fire and Rescue.
Colleagues describe Paul as a ‘true gentleman’ and the ‘heart of the department’ as well as a font of all knowledge, especially for new recruits.
Residents of Pontyclun are devastated by the loss of one of the towns favourite characters.
Our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends. Thank you for your incredible service.
