A man has been arrested after the alleged attempted abduction of a young boy who was with his mother.
Man arrested after attempted abduction of young boy: The incident happened on Thursday 7th January at Northala Fields, Northolt, Surrey at around 2.30pm. The man, who has not been named, picked up the boy and started to run it is alleged. However, the mother of the 5-year-old tot confronted him and he put the boy down.
The child was not hurt in the incident. Met Police said that on Saturday 23rd January at an address in Surrey, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction of a child. The police had already released a CCTV image of the man wanted in connection with the incident.
He was arrested and taken into custody in London. DC Ashleigh Nelson said at the time. “Incidents of this nature are very rare, but I understand the concern it may have caused in the local community. I want to reassure people we are doing everything we can to find out who is responsible.”
