A supermarket in Rhondda Cynon Taf has been told to improve by the council for not doing enough to prevent the sale of restricted items, in the ongoing covid19 pandemic.
The Tesco store in Green Park, Talbot Green was handed an improvement notice for its failure to comply with its obligations to take “reasonable measures to minimize the risk of exposure to coronavirus” under Covid-19 regulations.
These actions must be taken within 48 hours of the date that the notice was issued which was Tuesday, January 12.
Locals though are not surprised, ” It’s like a war zone in there on times, with no social distancing whatsoever,” said regular user Pauline Thomas.
Whilst Gina Hughes admitted she reported the store to the Welsh Government, she told ” I reported the store, it’s in my home town of 50 years and we need to see better standards, I have no shame in reporting them, they have been flouting the guidelines for months, its time they shaped up or close down” she stormed.
