Gary Adamson, on Spain’s Costa del Sol in Fuengirola, makes a final statement as he heads off to start a new charity
Gary and daughter Lauren, on Christmas Day, gave away over 150 free Christmas dinners, to those who have suffered from the pandemic in Spain.
After a fantastic fundraising campaign, that has seen over €2,000 leftover, both Gary and Lauren now head off to start a new charity, but before so, Gary made his final statement regards Christmas Day whilst sharing the detail of the new charitable venture.
The statement reads:
“We wanted to let you know just how our free Christmas Dinners went. We fed over 150 people and over 40 families here in the Fuengirola area. Thank you to everyone who helped us to achieve this, from local businesses who donated prizes, those who bought raffle tickets, to businesses who donated food for our cause and displayed posters, and to everyone else who contributed in any way… we thank you so much!
“It was an experience both Lauren Nicole Adamson and I will never forget.
The emotional rollercoaster we rode on was something I personally have never experienced and at the same time was so humbling.
“Finally, we still have over 2,000€ from the donations and we have decided to use this towards a NEW charity we are going to set up in 2021.
“We will keep you informed but at this early stage, we are looking to help single parents in Costa del Sol. Not only is this close to both mine and Laurens hearts and experiences we also found that many of those that had dinner were single parents and we know there is not much money given from the Government to help them. More to follow soon.
“Thank you so much again for your help and support and we wish you a Happy New Year and hope that 2021 is a lot brighter for us all!!”
