A Welsh nurse based in Bridgend says ‘ Wales needs locking up’ as the citizens defy all regulations
Mary Davies, a nurse from Bridgend, has called for the Welsh nation to be ‘locked up’.
The nurse who is currently working long shifts caring for Coronavirus patients was appalled at the scenes yesterday in the Brecon Beacons where miles of jammed traffic lined the roads at popular destination Pen-Y-Fan.
” Sadly people are not just listening – in fact, they are acting like cretins – we will never get this pandemic under control if people continue to act this way.
“The latest regulations from the Welsh Government are clearly being totally ignored.
“It’s time now to completely lock up the people of Wales” she stormed.
She further added: ” We have to face the facts, we can’t behave ourselves, here we have hospitals rammed to the gills, battling to save peoples lives and here we have thousands and thousands ignoring every regulation in the book – without a care in the world.
” Vaughan Jenkins and Mark Drakeford have to take action now” she shouted.
Another resident in Wales, June Faulkner, who lives on the road heading to the Brecon Beacons, questioned, where was the Heddlu?
She told” Where was the Heddlu? – nowhere to be seen, all these travelers should have been instantly fined, this wasn’t local people, they were from all over, Cardiff, Swansea, and even English accents were heard, clearly, we have a lack of police resources, either that or they don’t care – it was bedlam up here and all these travelers should have been at home, I’m afraid to say we don’t seem to have any common sense at all” she ranted.
The Welsh Government is due to make announcements shortly with a reported full ‘lock-up’ regulation being considered, one that clearly many feel is the only last course of action to take.
It appears the Welsh are leaving the governing bodies no other choice.
