MPs have been recalled to Parliament to debate and vote on the newly-agreed Brexit trade deal.
Speaker of the House of Commons has approved a request to recall Parliament from 9.30 am on December 30 so MPs have a chance to scrutinize the Cabinet over the agreement. But Lindsay Hoyle urged MPs against traveling to Westminster unless absolutely necessary. The last time Parliament was recalled was on June 2 over Covid-19 proceedings, and before that was June 20 to pay tribute to murdered MP Jo Cox.
