The out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur left-back, Danny Rose, found himself involved in a car accident in the early hours and has been arrested by police on suspicion of dangerous driving.
After his car reportedly collided with a central reservation on the A45 near Northampton on Wednesday the 30-year-old was held by police for questioning.
He is believed to have been unhurt in the incident although a wheel came off his vehicle and the rear bumper was hanging off. Rose passed a breathalyzer test but was taking in for further questioning. A statement released by Northamptonshire Police said “We can confirm a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving on the A45 in Northampton shortly after 4 am today.
The suspect is currently being held at a police station in the county and, as such, it would be inappropriate for Northamptonshire Police to comment further at this time.”
