WALES will lockdown on December 28th
As exclusively revealed yesterday by Global247news, Wales will lockdown on December the 28th as our internal sources revealed within the Welsh government
Wales will reduce coronavirus bubbles over Christmas to just two households instead of three, the Welsh First Minister has announced.
Wales will then go into a level four lockdown immediately after the Christmas period, starting on December 28, Mark Drakeford said.
Cabinet minister Michael Gove and the leaders of the devolved administrations talk about the scheduled relaxation of rules earlier this morning.
During a level four lockdown, people are only allowed to mix with others in their household or support bubble, while non-essential shops, gyms, hairdressers, hospitality businesses, and holiday accommodation will close.
Drakeford told the Welsh Government briefing today: ‘Many of you will have seen the warnings from senior clinicians about the huge impact coronavirus is having on the whole of our health service.
‘The situation we are facing is extremely serious. We must move to alert level four and tighten the restrictions to control the spread of coronavirus and save lives. ‘This new set of higher-level restrictions will apply to the whole of Wales. This means all non-essential retail, including close contact services and all leisure and fitness centers will close at the end of trading on Christmas Eve. All hospitality premises will close from 6 pm on Christmas Day.’
