Police have said that two men were conned by a “fake” game show host into taking part in naked challenges in London.
Police appeal for information on “fake” nude game show: A 28-year-old man contacted police in 2018 to report that he had been approached by a man who stated that he worked in the entertainment industry and was looking for contestants to take part in the nude game show with a chance of winning £5,000. Police said that the victim was asked to go to a hotel in Newham, East London, and take part in challenges completely naked which the 29-year-old man then filmed.
Authorities added that the man then kept the video footage for his own gratification. A second victim was identified in February who reported that back in August 2013 he was asked by a man to do exactly the same at a hotel in South-East London. Police have confirmed that a 29-year-old man was arrested on 30th January 2019 in connection with the offenses on suspicion of voyeurism and released on investigation.
Authorities now state that there are probably more victims. The Met’s North East Basic Command Unit Sergeant, James Mason, said “I urge anyone who may be a victim of similar crimes or incidents from 2013 to the present day, to come forward with information. The reported incidents took place several years ago and it is important we are able to investigate these and support any further victims ’.
