Two young children dead in Cambridgeshire house fire

Following a house fire in Cambridgeshire two young children aged three and seven have died.

Two young children dead in Cambridgeshire house fire: Emergency services were called to the scene in Buttercup Avenue, Eynesbury, a suburb of St.Neots early on Thursday morning. Where it is believed the fire started at approximately 7am in the modern three-story house. A seven-year-old girl and three-year-old boy were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 46-year-old man suffered minor injuries while a 35-year-old woman was taken to hospital with what is said are “life-changing” injuries. Police are now working with fire crews to establish the cause of the blaze. Neighbours had alerted the emergency services after seeing the house alight in the King’s Park development near a Tesco superstore.

Cambridgeshire police said yesterday in a statement. “We were called at 7.16am this morning, Thursday December 10, by the ambulance service. Reporting a fire at a house in Buttercup Avenue, Eynesbury. All three emergency services are in attendance. Residents are advised to avoid the area while emergency services respond to the incident.”  Global247News Twitter
