After the body of a woman was found at a Travelodge in Bournemouth a man has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Body of dead woman found at Travelodge in Bournemouth: The woman, said to be in her 20’s, was discovered at the hotel in Christchurch Road at 8am on Wednesday and Dorset police were called but the body was unresponsive. A spokeswoman for the force said that the woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Dorset Police’s major crime investigation team are leading the investigation into her death and say that they are treating it as suspicious. A man from Bournemouth aged 32 has been arrested on suspicion of her murder and is assisting detectives with their enquiries. Jez Noyce, Detective Chief Inspector with the Dorset Police said “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman at this extremely difficult time. We are carrying out a full investigation into this matter and officers have been speaking with those guests who are staying at the hotel.”
He went on to add “I would also like to thank guests at the hotel for their patience and understanding while we have been carrying out enquiries at the scene.” A spokesperson for Travelodge said “We are deeply saddened to hear that a woman has died at Bournemouth Travelodge.
Our thoughts and sincerest sympathy are with her family and our priority right now is to support the Police with their investigation. As this is a live police investigation we cannot make any further comment at this stage.”
