Television star Lukas Gage has spoken out about the awkward moment during a Zoom audition. When the director insulted his “tiny flat”. Not realising that his conversation was unmuted and could be heard by Gage.
Director mocks Lukas Gage’s flat in Zoom audition: Just before Gage started the audition by performing a scene the male director can quite clearly be heard telling someone in the background who was off camera
“These poor people live in these tiny apartments. Like I’m looking at his background, and he’s got his TV and you know…”.
Gage, 25, was quick to point out to him that he could be heard and his response was “I know, it’s a s***ty apartment. That’s why give me this job, so I can get a better one!” The director, whose identity is unknown, replied “Oh my God, I’m so, so sorry.” Gage has refused to name the English director but did however post the video on his Twitter account with a caption that read “psa: If youre a s**t talking director make sure to mute ur s**t on zoom mtgings.”
Fellow stars have supported Gage, who stars as Tyler in HBO series Euphoria, with Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville Tweeting “Well done for handling that patronising British twerp with such good grace.”
