Shoppers on Sunday morning were left stunned when a fight allegedly broke out in the egg aisle at a Tesco superstore
Witnesses to the brawl said that they heared shouting and screaming at the store at Eston Cleveland, MIddlesborough.
They said that they could not believe that it happened just as the nation started it’s 2 minute silence to remember the fallen during the wars.
Teesside Live reported that the fight broke out in the egg aisle as one woman was told to be quiet.
The argument escalated and customers told of seeing smashed eggs all over the floor of the shop.
The incident was reported and police were quick to arrive on the scene.
One of the horrified witnesses told Teesside Live that “We were all stood still, observing the two minutes’ silence when we heard lots of screaming and shouting. I asked someone what was going on and they said a woman had asked another woman to stop talking through the silence and the next minute they were fighting with each other.”
A spokesperson for the Tesco store said “We would like to thank the police for their swift assistance following an incident in our Eston Cleveland Extra this morning.”
