A former associate of Hunter Biden’s has said that an email addressed to him concerning potentially shady deals with a Chinese firm is genuine and that Hunter’s father Joe Biden was also involved in the scheme.
The associate, named as Tony Bobulinski, claims that Joe Biden accepted 10% as part of the dealings.
Bobulinski also said he overhead Joe and Hunter discuss dealings with a Chinese energy firm in 2017 and that the Democratic Presidential nominee was to receive a ‘hefty sum of money.’
Bobulinski issued a statement on Wednesday saying that he personally witnessed Biden discuss business deals with his son, Hunter, contradicting claims by the former vice president.
‘I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business.
‘I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.’
Bobulinski claimed that the Chinese were pursuing the deal as a ‘political or influence investment’ and that Hunter Biden was ‘using the company as his personal piggy bank by just taking money out of it as soon as it came from the Chinese.’
He said in his statement that he ‘took steps to prevent that from happening.’
Bobulinski also said in his statement that he was one of the recipients of the email from one of Hunter Biden’s business partners which involved a deal with a Chinese energy firm in May 2017 which promised a 10 per cent cut for a person known as ‘the big guy.’
Bobulinski claimed in his statement that ‘the big guy’ is Joe Biden.
The claims come after Hunter Biden hit the news this week after his laptop was seized by the authorities after being handed in by a computer repairman.
Emails found on the laptop apparently show that Joe Biden met with an adviser to Ukrainian energy company Burisma, where Hunter Biden was a board member.
In the key email, the Ukrainian adviser, Vadym Pozharskyi, in choppy English, thanks Hunter Biden for “the opportunity” to meet his father in Washington.
According to sources, Joe Biden took money from business dealings as long as he had influence over regional politics and helped people to obtain certain positions.
Such meddling in foreign politics by an American citizen no matter their status is a federal crime.
Joe Biden’s dealings with Pozharskyi helped to oust former Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin in 2015 who was due to investigate Hunter Biden’s business dealings in the Ukraine.
Shokin is the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine. Having previously worked as an investigator for the Prosecutor General Office, he served as Prosecutor General for a year between 2015 and 2016 before being ultimately fired.
Shokin has always claimed that Joe Biden had a hand in this after receiving bribe money.
And Bobulinski claimed that the Bidens had “gone behind his back” and misused their business partnership to rake in millions from the Chinese. He claimed that the Hunter used the company as a “personal piggy bank,” while their Chinese associates saw the deal as a “political or influence investment.”
Bobulinski, a Navy veteran, said that he wasn’t political and that the few campaign contributions he has made over the years have been to Democrats.
He stressed that he had “no political axe to grind,” and only wanted to clear his name and set the record straight.
