Wedding organiser faces huge fine

The owner of a wedding venue in Southall, West London, is facing a £10,000 fine. After allowing more than 100 guests to attend a wedding reception there.

Wedding venue to face £10000 fine: On Tuesday evening police were called to the Tudor Rose and, upon their arrival, found many people to be in breach of the coronavirus regulations. Additional Video footage taken by the Metropolitan Police shows hoards of guests not social distancing. Also not taking preventative measures to stop the spread of the virus.

Currently, under the Government’s current guidelines only a maximum of 15 people are allowed to attend a wedding. And venues must make sure they adhere to the new rules.

Also The owner of the venue has been reported by police. For consideration of a fixed penalty fine of £10,000. For a clear breach of the regulations.

Now This incident comes after London braces itself for the alert level to go from ‘medium’ to ‘high’ from midnight tonight (Friday). Chief Superintendent Peter Gardner said that. “Everyone has a responsibility to keep themselves, and their families, safe from coronavirus”

Afterwards, the Met stated. “As cases of coronavirus rise across London, officers throughout the Met will be redoubling our efforts. To clamp down on those individuals and businesses who breach the regulations. And put themselves, and others at risk.”
