An enormous “Trump” sign has shocked local liberals as it was erected on a hill overlooking a freeway near Los Angeles.
The Trump sign appeared overnight in the Sepulveda Pass hills near the 405 Freeway and caused outrage amongst many, with the majority of the population leaning left.
The police were called and the sign was promptly taken down on Tuesday morning.
A video circulating online has shown the efforts the erectors went to to get the sign up.

However, there has been backlash from critics as the sign was put up on private property and some say the removal of the sign is against free speech which is one of the constitutions of the United States.
Republican senator Ted Cruz tweeted:
Stunning. CA govt censors free speech on private property. A blatant abuse of power for political ends.
Does anyone think they would have made them take down a Biden sign? https://t.co/s5Zy185ith

Lauren Wonder, chief public information officer for the California Department of Transportation, said that as the sign was on private property it was laid down rather than removed.
For that reason, she said, Caltrans workers “laid it down so it wasn’t a visual distraction” but did not completely remove it.
“This was a life and safety issue because there were concerns about distracted driving,” Wonder said.
Workers had laid the letters down by about 9 a.m., but by then, several Angelenos — on both sides of the political spectrum — had taken to social media to comment on the stunt.
“California loves you President Trump!” wrote one Twitter user, alongside an image of the sign.
“Can’t you put something better?” another said.
