A bomb squad was forced to close streets and the area around where President Trump is recovering from Covid-19 after a suspicious bag was found.
Police cordoned off the area and shut down a section of Rockville Pike just after 9.30pm, diverting traffic and pushing Trump supporters away, after the suspicious bag was discovered in the area near the entrance to the medical facility on Saturday night.

The President is currently staying at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland just north of Washington D.C.
Demonstrators had taken to the streets just outside of the facilities in support of Mr Trump, waving the Star Spangled Banner flag and wearing Red MAGA shirts.
Most were carrying placards saying ‘Get well soon.’
The President announced he had the virus on Friday, along with his wife Melania.
After a thorough investigation by the Montgomery Police Department the bag was deemed not a threat and the authorities gave the all-clear for activists to return.
The bag was returned to one of the demonstrators who had left it at the side of the road.
In a video address to the American people on Saturday, Trump thanked supporters for their energy and medical personnel for their extraordinary work, saying he felt “much better” and was hoping to get back to public work in the nearest future.
