Harvey Weinstein, disgraced Hollywood producer, has been charged with 6 more offenses. Tied to the three rapes that he is alleged to have committed in Beverly Hills.
Harvey Weinstein charged with six more offenses: Weinstein, 68, has been accused of the rape of a woman in a hotel between 2004 and 2005. Also two rapes of a woman in November 2009 and again in November 2010. Having already been found guilty of rape and sexual assault he now faces 23 years in a state prison.
And now, according to sources, if he is found guilty on all 11 charges against him by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, he could possibly be facing 140 years in prison.
Subsequently, since 2017 more than 100 women have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault or sexual misconduct. Giving praise to the women who have come forward Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey said. “I am thankful to the first women who reported these crimes, And whose courage have given strength to others to come forward. The willingness of these latest victims to testify against a powerful man gives us the additional evidence we need to build a compelling criminal case.”
Also, due to the coronavirus pandemic plans to have him extradited to California to face the charges have been put on hold. And now a new extradition hearing is planned for 11th December in New York.
