Breaking news: President Trump 'doing very well' in hospital despite Covid-19

The President of the United States is said to be ‘in good spirits’ and ‘doing well’ according to hospital staff.

President Donald Trump was diagnosed with the coronavirus yesterday along with his First Lady.

Their personal doctor, Dr Sean Conley, said “we are extremely happy with the progress the president has made.”

The President was seen walking out to his helicopter to take him to a US Marine hospital yesterday.

He was brought into hospital as a “precautionary measure”, Dr Conley says.

The medical team say President Trump is not on oxygen or having difficulty breathing,

One of the doctors says Trump told him: “I feel like I could walk out of here today.”

He has been fever-free for over 24 hours, the doctors say.

He’s receiving both the drug Remdesivir and an experimental treatment. They tackle different aspects of the disease, the doctors say.

They say they are “maximising all aspects of his care” and “don’t want to hold anything back”.  Global247News Twitter
