Holiday Company TUI announce anyone in a UK lockdown area will not attract extra fees for rebooking holidays
Leading European holiday company TUI is advising clients all over the UK who are being placed into regional lockdown areas they will not qualify for extra fees for rebooking their holiday.
In a statement they said:
“Any customers who cannot travel on their holiday as planned due to a local lockdown have the option to amend to any holiday currently on sale, free of amendment fees. If the customer wishes to cancel their holiday, we recommend that they speak to their travel insurance provider in the first instance.”
This comes as a slight relief to thousands of UK citizens after being placed into a lockdown scenario where they can not leave the region they reside although some are determined to go on holiday anyway despite the latest regulations.
Andrew Parsells who lives in a village called Taffs Well, situated on the border of South Glamorgan in the Rhondda Cynon Taff told Global247news how nothing will stop him getting away and how he refuses to accept the lockdown policies.
Parsells said: ” I’ve just travelled the breadth of Britain on a scooter run, having come back from both Spain & Portugal to see friends, those places are far safer than here in Taffs Well, although I saw a few sights up north when out with the lads on the scooter, nothing will stop me going on my next trip which we are planning now”
“I and the lads who I travel with once a month abroad as we have for several years will not yield, we are Welsh and proud of it, only one of the lads might drop out, but he’s not really Welsh, Chris Jacob is a Gogg really despite he lives in Cardiff now”
” We have 2 flights booked with TUI and we will be on them, that’s for sure, all this COVID stuff is propaganda and nonsense,” said the season travelling Welshman.
