The UK is set for an Arctic Autumn with temperatures poised to drop as low as -4 degrees.

The latest weather forecast shows an Arctic freeze hitting the UK as temperatures continue to drop across the country. The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings.  Freezing cold winds from the Arctic will hit the entire UK.  BBC meteorologist Sarah Keith-Lucas warned that “frost, thunderstorms and hail” are likely.

She singled out East Anglia and Lincolnshire as 65mph winds lash the British coastline.

The winds could even be strong enough “to bring down a tree or two, so we could see some localised transport disruption”.

Heavy rain will cause a flooding risk with more than an inch of rainfall forecast.
