Two police officers shot during protests in Louisville

Following a jury’s decision not to charge officers over the death of hospital emergency room worker Breonna Taylor. Two police officers have been shot after protesters took to the streets.

Two police officers shot during protests in Louisville: After the decision on Wednesday passions were reignited as people took to the streets to protest against police brutality. Prosecutors announced during the hearing that one officer had been indicted in the case. However, no charges were made.

Demonstrations erupted across the USA. As news spread of the Two police officers shot during protests in Louisville. With demonstrators on the streets of Chicago, Washington DC, New York, Philadelphia and Atlanta. A drug raid that went wrong saw officers smash Ms Taylors door down and shot her multiple times. However no drugs were found on the premises and her boyfriend was also shot and an officer wounded.

In Louisville, the heart of the demonstrations, officers and protestors clashed. With people shouting “out of the homes, into the streets!”. Joe Biden, US Democratic Presidential candidate, urged the protests to be peaceful so as not to sully Ms Taylor’s name.

He went on to say that any violence would be totally inappropriate. He finished by saying that she wouldn’t want it and neither would her mother. However he said he did not know the details of the case so couldn’t comment on it.  Global247News Twitter
