Tommy DeVito one of the founder members of the Four Seasons has died.
Tommy DeVito founder member of Four Seasons dies from Coronavirus: He passed away from complications of the coronavirus. The baritone vocalist and lead guitarist was 92.
Four Seasons frontman Frankie Valli and singer-keyboardist Bob Gaudio said in a joint statement:
“It is with great sadness that we report that Tommy DeVito, a founding member of the Four Seasons, has passed. We send our love to his family during this most difficult time. He will be missed by all who loved him.”
The band found success with their single, “Sherry,” and some of their biggest hits include “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Walk Like a Man.”
He left the group in 1970. In 1990 the iconic group were memorialised at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The musical Jersey Boys – that has had Broadway and West End success – dramatizes the formation, success and eventual break-up of the 1960s rock ‘n’ roll group.
