BREAKING: Three People Injured after Air Rifle Shooting in Anfield, Liverpool

Three people have been shot in the legs with an air rifle in Anfield, Liverpool. 

BREAKING: Three People Injured after Air Rifle Shooting: The victims were a man and two women and they were all taken to hospital after the attack. Which took place off Walton Breck Road in Anfield at around 9am this morning.

Merseyside Police said: ‘We can confirm officers are in attendance in Anfield today, Tuesday, September 22. Following reports three people were struck with air pellets.

Later, Officers were called at 9am to Goldie Street, at its junction with Sleepers Hill. To a report a 36-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman and a 34-year-old woman had sustained leg injuries. After being struck with pellets believed to have been shot with an air weapon.

Afterwards, they have been taken to hospital for assessment.

Further, they continued: ‘Witnesses are being spoken to and house to house and forensic inquiries are being carried out. Additional CCTV opportunities in the area also being explored.”

Also Road closures are in place while officers deal with the incident. With closures in place on Walton Breck Road, Anfield Road and Sleepers Hill.
