An art installation being displayed last week at Alexandra Palace saw some 220 volunteers strip naked apart from white face masks.
Art exhibition at Alexandra Palace sees volunteers with masks strip naked: The work, curated by Spencer Tunick, is titled “Everyone Together”.
Photographer Tunick, who is well known for his large scale art installations involving naked people, got the 220 people together in the early hours of Saturday morning to photograph them.
He said that the work was all about breaking down barriers. One of the photographs show naked couples standing face to face, embracing and attempting to kiss each other through their masks. Tunick said that perhaps now, more than ever, people feel the need for this sort of natural connectivity with groups being together shoulder to shoulder with skin touching skin.
